Two Wayne County girls are members of the Malone University Pioneer Cheerleading Squad which won top honors as the 2010 National Champions at the Christian Cheerleader Association National Competition March 4 through the 6 in Concord, North Carolina.

14 girls competed on Malone University's Pioneer Cheerleading Squad. They included Allie Fisher, a sophomore in early childhood education major from Orrville, and, Mariah Vacha, a sophomore community health education major from Apple Creek.

Malone University is a Christian University located in Canton.
