A chuckwagon and outdoor cooking event was held Sunday at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center off of Ohio 598 in Leesville in Crawford County. Award-winning campfire cooking was provided by the Crawford Park District and Jim and Jeanne Thompson.

Thompson says there's no charge for the food as he and his wife like to provide the demonstrations. He says it's a lot of fun to cook outside but food safety remains the number one concern.
