  Shirley “Squirrel” Meister, 78, of Mansfield, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born May 4, 1932 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Howard and Esther (Miller) Worman. A devoted mother, she loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays and special occasions. Shirley also enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, and horseback riding. She did volunteer work with the veteran’s organizations. Shirley was a member of the Amvets Post #26 Ladies Auxiliary where she was the local president and district president. She is survived by her husband, James Meister; her children and their spouses, Roberta and James Prosser of Mansfield, Karl and Anna Fry of Lexington, Kim and Cheryl Meister of Mansfield, Brady and Michele Fry of Sandusky; Sarah and Mike Piazza of Chicago, James Meister of Columbus, Joseph Meister, Florida, and Richard and Layrysa McGraw of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Robert Fry, Jr.; and great-grandchild, Allison Fry. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Rector Emeritus David Sipes. Memorial contributions may be made to Sad Sacks Baggy Sack #17.
