MANSFIELD:  Emily Cameron Reed, age 23, of Mansfield passed away Monday evening, July 26, 2010 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.

        She was born February 8, 1987 in Mansfield, to Myron S. Reed and Leslie Cameron Hill.  Emily graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 2005. 

        A lifelong student of the arts, Emily was a past member of Ashland Region Ballet Company.  Currently she attended The Ohio State University, Mansfield, studying Art and in 2010 was named art student of the year.

        Emily loved skiing at Snow Trails and was an active member of the Mansfield YMCA Community and was a member of the Cool Mom’s Club.

        She is survived by her daughter Ava Cameron Williams, father Myron S. Reed of Mansfield, her mother and step father Leslie and John Hill of Mansfield, a brother Johnathan C. Reed of Mansfield, Ava’s father Jeff Williams of Mansfield, maternal grandparents Jim and Marianne Cameron of Florida, her boyfriend Mark Rauchenberger of Mansfield, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family too numerous to name.

        Emily was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Myron and Ida Mae Reed.

        The Reed family will hold a Celebration of Emily’s life Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 1 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (formerly Finefrock Funeral Home).  Friends and family are encouraged to bring a print of their favorite photo of Emily to share on a collage board and helium balloon for release.  A reception will follow at 3 pm at the Mansfield Art Center.

        In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Emily’s name to the Mansfield Art Center and may be made at the funeral home.
