Harrison E. Landis 82 of Marion died Saturday in Riverside Hospital Columbus following a short illness. He was born September 27, 1927 in Bucyrus to Paul and Lorena (Pontius) Landis, both deceased. Also preceding him in death are Son Robert, and Daughter Vicki Frazier, Brothers John and Paul Landis, Jr. On June 19, 1957 he married E. Wanda Cover who survives.

Also surviving are Son-in-Law Kenneth Frazier of Hilliard, 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, Brother James (Cindy) Landis of Bucyrus, and Sister Alice ( Haskel “Mac”) Wilson of Sandusky.

Harrison had graduated from Bucyrus High School, was a Veteran of the U S Army Air Corp during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for Ryder-Heil Bronze, Timken Company where he was a Tool Foreman and retired in 1982. He then worked for Allied Signal Company in Arizona, and then Probost Supply in Marion. He was a Member of the United Church of Christ on Lane Avenue.

Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM with Rev. Charles P. Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
