Mary Ann Timan, 84, passed away July 26, 2010 at Country Meadows Care Center.

Mary was born January 5, 1926 in Six Mile Run, PA to Andrew and Elizabeth Majoros Svitana. She came to Mansfield in 1957 and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mary worked as a cook and server in the Mansfield City Schools cafeteria for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She was a Ka-Cett, volunteered many years for St. Vincent DePauls at The Store and also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include three daughters: Rose (Marvin) Hagel of Mansfield, Pat (John) Leach of Mansfield, Paula (Chris) Reynolds of Berea; a son: Chris (Sue) Timan of Hilliard; seven grandchildren: Spencer and Norman Hagel, Alison Leach, Isaac and Ana Reynolds, Emma and Ian Timan; seven great-grandchildren: Ava and Adrianna Hagel, Jared and Ella Hagel, Kennedy, Camden and Stella Spitzer; a brother: Paul Svitana of Pennyslvania; a sister: Rose Altobelli of New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Timan, Jr. in 1968; two brothers: John and Jake Svitana; two sisters: Sue Grossi and Anna Timan.

Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Ave. West, on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8pm with a vigil service at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Msgr. Dunn Foundation.
